UFC 309, November 16, 2024, at Madison Square Garden... the GOAT is back. Saturday's card promises to be a lineup of thrilling matchups that showcase a blend of seasoned champions and rising contenders. Headlining the night is the much-anticipated heavyweight clash between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Jones, the reigning champion, returned in 2023 after a three-year hiatus to capture the heavyweight belt and now faces Miocic, a former titleholder renowned for his endurance and technical skills. Both fighters bring distinct strengths, with Jones aiming to solidify his legacy, while Miocic seeks to reclaim his spot at the top, likely setting up a future bout with interim champ Tom Aspinall depending on the outcome.

In the co-main event, Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler reignite their rivalry in a lightweight showdown. Their previous battle in 2021 saw Oliveira secure a dramatic comeback victory, so this rematch is highly anticipated. Both fighters are known for their aggressive styles, which should make this a fast-paced, unpredictable bout.

The main card also includes Bo Nickal facing Paul Craig in a middleweight bout, with Nickal looking to extend his win streak against the grappling veteran. Additionally, former middleweight champ Chris Weidman takes on Eryk Anders, in a fight that could set the stage for Weidman’s future in the sport.

The preliminary fights offer equally exciting matchups, with Jonathan Martinez squaring off against Marcus McGhee at bantamweight. Veterans Jim Miller and Damon Jackson will also clash, promising fans an action-packed card from start to finish.
