Team, it's been a long year with the UFC. Do you remember when Conor McGregor fighting was a thing? Do you remember the panic over UFC 300 booking? We are ready to turn the chapter on 2024 and start 2025 fresh. UFC Tampa brought the heat at the Amalie Arena. In the main event, Joaquin Buckley made the absolute most of his spotlight dismantling Colby Covington with pinpoint strikes for a round-two TKO. New Mansa left Covington in a pool of his blood after cutting him bad in the first round. Buckley dominated the entire fight. He hit harder and put on a striking clinic. Covington..... let's be honest has not beating anyone worth mentioning since when? I doubt he will ever climb back into the top 5 at Welterweight and I'm not sure if he should. The former interim UFC champion has made a lot of friends and enemies along the years. I think WWE can use a new Kurt Angle. What do you say Colby?
In the co-main, OG Cub Swansan showed he’s still got it, outstriking Billy Quarantillo in a Fight of the Night war. Quarantillo, the Tampa local who had the support of the crowd gave a great showing he should be proud about. Swanson, at 41 years old previously mentioned retiring after this fight. If so, what a way to go out. Salute champ.
Joel Alvarez landing a jaw-dropping flying knee KO on Drakkar Klose. Spain has been producing some great strikers man. I am glad to see this roster become more international.
Manel Kape took more kicks to the nuts than one of those weirdo porn videos but he still won in a impressive fashion. He made a callout to the champ, Alexandre Pantoja in his post fight interview but Dana White is not hearing any of that. This man is talented. I would like to see Kape fight Asakura or Moreno next.
Rising stars Sean Woodson and Miranda Maverick also made statements, rounding out a night packed with unforgettable action.
Happy Holidays everyone. We will be busy during the break getting some things in place to bring you better coverage for 2025. UFC 311 is right around the corner and it will be here before we know it. Get that heavy bag work in and drill with good partners. Oss.
